Comfort Through Handmade Blankets

Project Linus is a national organization originated in December, 1995.  The organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit with more than 350 chapters across the nation. The Tucson Chapter was founded in the spring of 1999 and serves Tucson and areas of Southern Arizona. 

To date the national organization has provided over 10 million blankets for kids.  The Tucson chapter has provided over 125,000 blankets to approximately 50 facilities.

Project Linus two goals:

• First - to provides love, a sense of security, and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of a new handmade blankets and afghans lovingly created by volunteers. 
• Secondly - To provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in the local communities for the benefit of children.
